Project Overview
This project is a part of the “Intelligent Operation and Maintenance Robot for Metering Production Processes and Its Unmanned Management Platform” initiative. It leverages 3D digital twin technology to digitally replicate the real-time operating status of the metering center production line system of a power company. By integrating inspection robots, fixed cameras, and data collection sensors to gather operational and environmental information from the site, the system enables unmanned inspection, enhances the intelligence level of the production line, and reduces the workload of on-site personnel.
Construction Scope
The 3D simulation system consists of three main layers: raw data acquisition, data processing, and data visualization. The data acquisition layer collects inputs from cameras, inspection robots, environmental sensors, meter-reading robots, and the production line status. The processing layer computes and uploads the data to the 3D visualization interface to ensure it accurately reflects the real-time status of each on-site element. The 3D simulation interface receives real-time data on operational conditions, sensor readings, and video feeds, providing a synchronized and accurate visualization of the site’s various components. This project specifically focuses on the 3D visualization interface and its corresponding management system.
The 3D simulation screen displays the following content:
(1) Monitoring of single-phase production line operations: Displays the operational status of each functional unit on the single-phase electricity meter production line, including equipment status and material flow, and supports fault linkage modeling.
(2) Monitoring of the single-phase calibration process: Shows the calibration progress, calibration schemes, standard meter data, and the testing process and results for each meter position along the single-phase electricity meter production line.
(3) Real-time 3D model of the inspection robot: Integrates with the positioning system to display the real-time trajectory of the inspection robot within the plant, along with synchronized video feed.

The 3D simulation visualization dashboard features high precision and real-time performance, which significantly improves production efficiency and reduces operational costs. By monitoring and analyzing production data, it enables accurate insight into the production process and allows timely adjustments to enhance both efficiency and quality. Through digital transformation, traditional production lines are turned into digital twin process lines, truly achieving intelligent manufacturing.
