During the exchange meeting, Yuan Yi introduced the overall development of Shanghai Waigaoqiao. He stated that in recent years, the company has actively implemented the national "14th Five-Year Plan" to accelerate innovation and development in the shipbuilding industry and promote digital transformation of state-owned enterprises. In the field of intelligent shipbuilding, the company has conducted extensive exploration and experimentation.

Jin Yu emphasized that digital and intelligent shipbuilding is the future direction for shipyards and an important measure to achieve high-quality development for the group. He noted that HGTECH possesses industry-leading technological strength and rich implementation experience in intelligent manufacturing. He hopes that both sides can engage in sincere cooperation, leverage complementary advantages, and deepen collaboration in future projects to jointly envision a grand blueprint for a digital and intelligent shipyard.

Yang Letian welcomed the visiting delegation, stating that since its founding, HGTECH has been a pioneer in the industrial application of lasers in China. HGTECH was the first in China to overcome a series of “bottleneck” core technologies, such as fiber lasers, ultrafast lasers, and semiconductor laser chips. This has enabled China to break foreign dependence in laser equipment and apply advanced laser technologies across various sectors of industrial manufacturing.

Yang Xiao noted that shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment are essential for understanding and utilizing the ocean. Currently, many domestic shipyards are transitioning from automation to intelligent manufacturing. Accelerating this transformation is a fundamental and effective way to promote high-quality development in the shipbuilding industry. He emphasized that this exchange reveals significant cooperation potential between Shanghai Waigaoqiao and HGTECH. Both parties will leverage their respective strengths in the market and technology, enhance joint R&D of key core technologies and their applications, and jointly advance the digital and intelligent transformation of the shipbuilding industry.
