On June 20, the first major event of the 2023 Smart China Expo—the 3rd China Industrial Software Conference—opened at Yuzhou Hotel in Chongqing. Centered on the theme “Software Powers Manufacturing, Intelligence Connects the Future,” the conference delved into the innovation and development of industrial software, exploring its empowering effects across dimensions. It aimed to solidify the foundation for industrial growth, support the construction of a manufacturing powerhouse, a digital China, and the deep integration of the digital and real economies.

Empowering Manufacturing with Innovation
At the event, Mr. Dai Heng, Technical Director of HGTECH Intelligent Manufacturing Division, delivered a keynote speech. He introduced HGTECH’s development path from laser equipment to full-scale intelligent manufacturing solutions. Leveraging its strengths in laser technology, HGTECH has achieved innovations in software development and core technology integration. With a professional, open, and efficient approach, the company offers end-to-end services—from consulting and planning to production line implementation and digital infrastructure.
As the granularity of enterprise-level intelligent management increases, traditional information systems like ERP and MES tend to focus more on the management layer. Enterprises now demand stronger, more functional production-centric control platforms. In response, HGTECH has developed a suite of products, including the HG-MCP Master Control Platform, HG-CCS Central Control System, HG-DTS Digital Twin Management Platform, HG-IIoT Industrial IoT Platform, and a visual sorting system.
HGTECH has also tailored a proprietary digital management platform specifically for the steel structure industry, supported by BIM and IoT technologies. The platform enables full-process control across project initiation, design, procurement, production, logistics, and construction. It also integrates centralized nesting, welding machine group control, and HSE safety management. Driven by continuous innovation, HGTECH invests heavily in R&D for digital twin systems and visual sorting technologies, contributing to the high-level development of industrial software.
HGTECH also shared several case studies of its intelligent manufacturing projects, highlighting the challenges encountered and lessons learned during implementation. The company’s open attitude and professional insights gained widespread recognition from the experts and entrepreneurs present. Its hardware-rooted approach to industrial software development brought fresh perspectives to the conference.
02
From “Made in China” to “Created in China”
HGTECH also participated in the panel discussion of the forum on “Integration of Industrial Software and Manufacturing.” The company shared its insights on deepening the application of industrial software in discrete manufacturing. Currently, HGTECH provides intelligent manufacturing solutions—including hardware and software—for industries such as construction machinery, steel structures, and shipbuilding. Through practical implementation, it applies theoretical knowledge in industrial software to solve real-world production challenges.
For instance, HGTECH’s independently developed HG-MCP Master Control Platform and HG-CCS Central Control System enable comprehensive automation of production execution and logistics scheduling. These systems have been successfully deployed at Zoomlion, Taiyuan Heavy Industry, and Wuchuan Heavy Industry, earning national honors such as the “Top 10 Scientific Advances in Intelligent Manufacturing 2022,” “National Demonstration Factory for Intelligent Manufacturing,” and “Innovative Industrial Internet Platform Application Case of the Year.”
As a pioneer in intelligent manufacturing, HGTECH remains committed to driving industrial digital transformation. With over a decade of experience in industrial software, the company has supported more than 1,000 large enterprises in their smart transformation journeys. By continuously empowering manufacturing through software innovation, HGTECH has developed flagship solutions that solve real business challenges—helping leading companies in construction machinery, equipment manufacturing, steel structures, and power sectors compete globally. HGTECH is helping shift the narrative from “Made in China” to “Created in China,” steadily advancing onto the world stage.

Strengthening Cooperation, Shaping the Future
“Software powers manufacturing, intelligence connects the future.” In the intelligent manufacturing field, HGTECH continues to strengthen cooperation with top-tier enterprises in Southwest China. In cooperation with Sichuan Steel Structure Co., Ltd., located in the Southern Zone of the Ganmei Industrial Park in Meishan, the two sides built an intelligent material preparation production line, adopting a production management system to enhance scheduling accuracy and refine process control—facilitating the transition to smart workshops.
In the Chongqing Zoomlion steel plate cutting and forming line project, the entire process aims for full automation and intelligence, with material utilization rates expected to reach 92%.
HGTECH will continue to expand its presence in the Southwest market, advancing the vision of a manufacturing powerhouse with bold innovation and new methodologies, and consistently contributing to the development of the intelligent manufacturing industry.
