On July 10, 2023, the intelligent Meishan Base jointly built by HGTECH's Intelligent Manufacturing Business Division (HG-Cyber) and Sichuan Steel Structure Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Sichuan Steel Structure) commenced trial production, marked by a grand inauguration ceremony.

Sichuan Steel Structure, a subsidiary of Sichuan Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd., specializes in the fabrication and installation of various types of bridge steel structures. Guided by a development vision of “intelligent, digital, standardized, lean, and low-carbon,” the Meishan Base project represents a total investment of RMB 5 billion, covering approximately 690 acres. It includes about 183,000 square meters of joint factory buildings and is equipped with 65 sets of large-scale intelligent processing equipment. The facility primarily manufactures steel box girders, truss girders, and steel pipe arches, with an annual designed capacity of 160,000 tons.

Upon full operation, the base will become the largest, most advanced, and most intelligent steel bridge structure manufacturing hub in Southwest China. It will significantly drive technological innovation and industrial upgrading in related sectors, support the green and low-carbon transformation of urban and rural development, and inject fresh momentum into high-quality manufacturing in Sichuan Province.

The base’s cutting workshop has procured several WALC series large-format laser cutting machines, deployed across six bays. These machines support bevel cutting and marking functions on ultra-large 37m x 4m plates. Each system—laser source, cutting head, control software, bed frame, and worktable—has been custom-optimized to ensure top-tier production capacity and product quality.

HG-Cyber has built an integrated digital management platform for the cutting workshop, centered around the large-format laser cutting machines and a customized MES system. Following the principles of “holistic planning, efficiency first, phased implementation, and targeted breakthroughs,” the cutting MES system realizes end-to-end digital management of the production process. It enhances lean management practices, refines production controls, and accelerates the transition toward flexible and intelligent manufacturing. This robust digital foundation helps Sichuan Steel Structure improve quality and efficiency, enhances its competitiveness in Western China, supports “Made in Sichuan” in going global, and reinforces its reputation as a top-tier brand.
