On the evening of December 28, the CCTV program "Focus Report" aired a year-end special episode titled “Confidence 2024: Climbing Higher with China's Manufacturing”, highlighting a series of major achievements in China’s manufacturing industry in 2024. Among the featured stories was HGTECH’s innovation breakthroughs in the new energy vehicle and shipbuilding industrial chains.

Manufacturing is the foundation of a strong nation. China’s manufacturing industry is undergoing a significant transformation from “big” to “strong.”

In 2024, we continuously developed new quality productive forces, expanded advanced manufacturing clusters, and advanced high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing sector—marching forward with firm steps.
China’s manufacturing is gaining momentum not only in emerging sectors like new energy equipment, rail transit, and high-end shipbuilding, but also pushing traditional industries toward high-end, intelligent, and eco-friendly transformation.
Dai Heng, Chief Technology Officer of Intelligent Manufacturing at HGTECH, said: “This is our large-format, high-power five-axis bevel laser processing equipment customized for the shipbuilding industry. It is mainly used in shipbuilding manufacturing, with a maximum processing width of over ten meters. Traditional shipbuilding heavily depended on imported equipment. Now, we’ve broken through multiple technological barriers and achieved 100% independent R&D.”
Laser technology has long been subject to export controls by developed countries, limiting our access. Over the past 20 years, HGTECH has made continuous innovations in high-end laser equipment, achieving more than 60 "firsts" in China. The company successfully developed white body laser welding systems for smart automotive manufacturing, breaking a 40-year foreign monopoly, which forced similar foreign products to lower their prices by over 40%. It now holds over 90% market share domestically and has served over 45 million vehicles.
Ma Xinqiang, Party Secretary and Chairman of HGTECH, stated: “We attach great importance to independent innovation. Over the past decade, our R&D investment has exceeded RMB 7 billion.
