HGTECH Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

On October 19, HGTECH and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (SWS) held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony. Mr. Jin Yu, Party Committee Member and Director of the Science and Technology Committee of SWS, and Mr. Xiong Wen, Party Committee Member and Vice President of HGTECH, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Mr. Chen Gang, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of SWS, and Mr. Ma Xinqiang, Party Secretary, Chairman, and President of HGTECH, attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing.

This strategic partnership builds on a strong foundation of cooperation and leverages the strengths of both sides. It aims to apply their respective expertise in ship design and construction, intelligent manufacturing, and smart equipment technologies to relevant engineering fields. The collaboration will focus on areas such as top-level planning for intelligent shipbuilding, smart workshop transformation, laser process technology research, and industrial internet applications.

Both parties will jointly apply for national, industry, and local scientific research projects, accelerate technological breakthroughs and talent development, promote mutual advancement, and achieve win-win outcomes.

Mr. Chen Gang, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of SWS, stated that this strategic cooperation is of great significance to achieving high-quality development for both parties. He expressed hope that the partnership would serve as a model of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation under the framework agreement, driving new breakthroughs in the implementation of SWS’s “Cruise-Led, Integrated Dual-Wing” development strategy.

Prior to the ceremony, the HGTECH delegation visited the Thin Plate Center and toured the domestically built large cruise ship *Adora Magic City* under construction. Chairman Ma Xinqiang praised SWS for its achievements in brand building, technological innovation, and cruise ship construction capabilities. He expressed the hope that both parties would become long-term strategic partners based on mutual trust and recognition through the signing of this agreement.

Also attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Liu Jianfeng, Chief Process Engineer of SWS, Mr. Yuan Yi, Chief Information Officer of SWS, as well as leaders from its Digital Design Institute, Process and Method Department, Manufacturing Department, and IT Department. From HGTECH’s side, Mr. Deng Jiake, General Manager of HG Laser, and Mr. Yang Xiao, Chairman of HGTECH’s Intelligent Manufacturing Business Division, were present.
