In November 2023, the Department of Industry Policies and Regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a public notice listing the sixth batch of proposed national industrial design centers and those that have passed the re-evaluation process for the first, second, and fourth batches. The Industrial Design Center of HGTECH successfully passed the re-evaluation as part of the fourth batch of National Industrial Design Centers.
National Industrial Design Centers are recognized by the MIIT for their strong innovation capabilities, distinctive features, standardized management, and outstanding performance. These centers are at the forefront of industrial design in China and represent the highest level of innovation in the field.
HGTECH’s Industrial Design Center upholds the philosophy of “designing competitive products” and is committed to the development goals of intelligent, digital, and green design. With a focus on practical applications, the center continues to explore innovative industrial design methods to support manufacturing transformation and upgrading. Over the past four years, the center has participated in 56 national and provincial-level projects and developed over 40 sets of first-of-its-kind equipment, all of which have been successfully industrialized, generating more than RMB 10 billion in direct economic value.
In July this year, HGTECH won the Gold Award in the Industry Group of the 6th "Chutian Cup" Hubei Industrial Design Competition for its project “Intelligent Process Design Empowering the Transformation and Upgrading of the Construction Machinery Industry.” In 2022, its IMR surface decoration product won the International CMF Design Award Gold Medal in the Sample Craft Category.
The large flexible intelligent preparation workshop designed for Zoomlion was selected as one of China’s Top Ten Scientific and Technological Advances in Intelligent Manufacturing in 2022. The intelligent manufacturing factory for steel bridge structures based on 5G, planned and designed for Gansu Borui, was recognized as an excellent case in the first National Innovative Practices of Smart Construction by Transportation Enterprises. Additionally, the high-end equipment industrial park project planned for Taiyuan Heavy Industry and the intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory for Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group were selected as National Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Factories.
Looking ahead, HGTECH’s Industrial Design Center will continue enhancing its innovation capabilities, exploring new methods in industrial design, and advancing toward specialization, integration, and informatization. The center aims to strengthen its integrated, systematic, and innovative design capabilities, further empowering the high-quality development of the company. Aligned with the urgent needs of industrial upgrading and high-quality growth, the center will accelerate advancements in high-end manufacturing, intelligent transformation, green development, and service-oriented extension, actively supporting national strategies and contributing to high-quality development in the manufacturing sector through high-level design practices.
