On May 17, the 2024 "Leading Manufacturers" Industrial and Supply Chain Matchmaking Event was held at Wuhan Donghu International Conference Center, aiming to boost Hubei's new round of industrial equipment upgrades and enterprise technological transformation. Wang Zhonglin, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Hubei Province, delivered a speech and announced the official launch of the event. Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Zhou Zhiping, General Manager of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, also delivered speeches. Ma Xinqiang, Party Secretary, Chairman, and President of Huagong Tech, gave a keynote product presentation. Xiong Wen, Party Committee Member and Vice President, delivered a thematic report at the Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Forum.
President Ma Xinqiang stated that Huagong Tech is a pioneer in the industrial application of laser technology in China and a national high-tech enterprise. Deeply implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during his inspection, the company has developed a number of domestically-produced and industry-leading products such as compound semiconductor wafer annealing, stealth dicing, surface dicing, and measurement equipment. Huagong Tech has overcome multiple core technological challenges, led the formulation of international standards, cultivated specialized and innovative enterprises, and achieved significant accomplishments in the field of optoelectronics.
During the event, Ma Xinqiang presented Huagong Tech's product lines in sensing and connectivity, shared the company's achievements in intelligent manufacturing, and showcased several success stories of solving industry pain points through technological innovation. He expressed his hope to work together with attending enterprises to build more benchmark smart factories. Ma emphasized Huagong Tech’s commitment to the product development goals of “industry leadership, domestic substitution, and specialization,” and highlighted newly launched products such as hydrogen energy metal bipolar plate welding equipment, alkaline electrolyzers for hydrogen production via water electrolysis, and laser cleaning systems. As an important platform to implement President Xi’s directive to "firmly grasp the lifeline of technology in our own hands," the Huagong Tech Central Research Institute has engaged several academicians and experts to guide technological innovation and collaborate with multiple institutions to advance the optoelectronic industry. Ma concluded by saying that integration is the wisdom, strength, and trend of industrial development, and hoped that the event would enhance inter-enterprise, inter-industry, and inter-regional communication and cooperation to jointly write a new chapter in supply chain collaboration and contribute to the “Made in China” strategy.
In the afternoon, Vice President Xiong Wen delivered a themed report at the shipbuilding and marine equipment session, titled “Empowering Shipbuilding with Intelligent Manufacturing: Accelerating the Development of New-Quality Productive Forces in the Shipbuilding Industry.” He elaborated on Huagong Tech’s approach and practical cases in promoting intelligent manufacturing in the shipbuilding sector.
Xiong emphasized that under the wave of China’s intelligent manufacturing strategy, green, smart, and independent manufacturing have become dominant themes in the shipbuilding industry. With in-depth analysis of shipbuilding production pain points, Huagong Tech centers its strategy on self-developed equipment and software, introducing high-end laser cutting systems, laser cleaning equipment, marking and coding machines, laser hybrid welding systems, and industry-specific digital solutions. He presented key projects such as the “Weihai Base Cutting and Blanking Workshop Automation Line,” the “Taiyuan Heavy Industry Intelligent Processing and Painting Line,” and the “CSSC Sunrui LNG Cryogenic Expansion Joint Assembly Line.” He stressed that relying on strong technical capabilities and project experience, Huagong Tech is well-positioned to address the critical needs of industrial intelligent transformation and has received multiple national honors. Moving forward, the company will continue to serve the high-end shipbuilding industry with new technologies, products, and solutions tailored to the industry’s transformation and upgrading needs.
Finally, Vice President Xiong Wen signed industrial cooperation agreements with six shipbuilding enterprises including Shandong Xinneng Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Yichang Chanyi Holdings Group Co., Ltd., and Jiangling County Urban and Rural Investment Development Group Co., Ltd., to jointly promote the high-quality development of the shipbuilding industry.
